Andy Lee is a 27 years old system engineer. Outgoing and always on a lookout for "Fun-to-go" places, he gave Dolphin Lodge a thumbs-up for its unique experience and being so close to Singapore.


"I used to think that dolphins are just clever animals who can be trained easily. They don't appeal much to me especially with all the sad soppy movies about them. I was skeptical when I was told we will get to feel the dolphins. How would someone feel an 'animal', who couldn't communicate much with humans ?
Of course, I was WRONG. Read my experience below and you'll see what I mean"

'As I set foot on Dolphin Lodge (50 mins away from Singapore WTC), I was surprised at how peaceful the place is.

Shortly after, we changed into our swimming attires and got into the water for a bit of warm-up with the dolphins. The trainers told us about how gentle the dolphins were and advise us to be the same with them. After a brief 20 minutes, we were touching the dolphins and swimming with them. (Amazing! They are not afraid of us at all). We had lunch at the lounge shortly after that, getting ready for the main highlight of the day - the "TRUE" interaction with the dolphins.

Wow! I wouldn't believe it at first but as the trainers guide us carefully, I was soon riding on the dolphins' dorsel, being pushed at my foot sole and I was REALLY swimming with the dolphins. My first thought was how strong they are and how well-trained they are. With the wonderful feeling I can never get in Singapore, I have come to believe that they are really amazing creatives.
After the activities, we were allowed to relax around the island and I decided to approach the dolphins myself. They actually swam over to me when I went close and when I ran along the beach, they followed me along. The feeling of the dolphins being so close to your heart is undescriptable. It's hard to put the feeling down on words but I will definitely recommend it to others looking for an enriching and relaxing experience without the need to go far abroad.
